A 1910 Amethyst Glass Cameo Ring w/ Tiara, Long Curly Tendrils. Reflects Light- Dark Amethyst Raised Face Forward Size 8 3/4, One of a Kind Reflects Light to Dark Amethyst Depending on Light.
This beautiful Amethyst cameo is unused stock from a 1910 Paris workshop. All I did here was foil back & add to a handcrafted wire wrapped, by other artist, a silver nickel ring
Classic example of early 1900s traditional French Pate de verre, the artist mixed crushed glass with enamels or paint to form a paste that was carefully placed in a mold, Displaying belle epoque opulence. . Pate de verre gained renown as an art form by French artists Émile Gallé, Antonin Daum and Réné Lalique. The final result is a piece of sculpture that has a surface with a texture that is similar to that of fine sugar. Extreme amount of unblemished detail to Amethyst cameo with curly tendrils, & a beautiful tiara.

The majority of time it looks dark purple; but you can see Light purple when it catches the light. I have seen similar large cameos to this in diamond settings go for ,400. ...
